Endometrial Ablation

Endometrial Ablation is a relatively simple procedure successfully performed by Dr. Gauta in the office to treat abnormal uterine bleeding. There are two primary methods -- Radiofrequency (which uses a mild electrical current) and Hydro ThermAblation HTA (which uses heated saline solution) to treat the endometrium (lining of the uterus). Both take about five minutes and there are no incisions, no general anesthesia and little or no pain. The procedures are a safe and effective alternative to hysterectomy and for women who have decided they are done having children.
